Conception Journey

At Radiant Chi, we encourage you to be mindful of your entire health and wellbeing with regards to conception.  This includes your lifestyle choices, such a foods, toxins, stress management, sleep hygiene and digestive health, as well as your reproductive health.  These diet & lifestyles choices have significant impact on our reproductive & hormonal health.

Simple steps you can start before working with your practitioner are to review your diet, reducing sugars, processed foods and lower foods that create inflammation are useful for conception, click here to review foods that increase/decrease inflammation.

Reducing toxins in our environment is also really important, you could consider the following:

  • Switch from plastic to glass to remove Xenoestrogens and BPA, using glass containers for food storage and drink bottles.

    • Food storage:

      • Use mesh bags for food in the fridge instead of plastic.

      • Use beeswax or vegan soya wax coverings for dishes inside the fridge, or for lunches.

    • Remember never to put warm food into any container which has plastic – including these which are glass but have plastic lids. Heating plastic is to be always avoided if possible.

    • Above all, do not reuse plastic bottles, and especially don’t to leave them in the sun before drinking from them.

  • Reduce plastics and chemicals in cooking:

    • Instead of foil, for grilling try stainless steel grill baskets.

  • Reduce ingestion of any chemicals (processed foods, refined sugars)

  • Switch to cleaning products that avoid chemicals, there is several available in the stores now.

  • Review your sanitary products and beauty products to lower toxic brands, to avoid toxins being taken in via the skin which is our biggest organ.
