Meet Alicia Araujo
Chinese Medicine Practitioner
Alicia graduated at the Perth Endeavour College of Natural Health and holds a Bachelor in Health Science (Acupuncture). She is a member of the Australian Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine Association (AACMA) and is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency
As a Chinese Medicine Practitioner, Alicia has a gentle approach and uses a combination of acupuncture, herbal medicine, cupping, massage, diet and exercise therapy focused on restoring the body to a balanced state.
Alicia was first inspired to study Chinese Medicine after helping a close family member who was diagnosed with cancer through the challenges of chemo and radiation treatment. This experience led to a desire to change career path into something that involved health and prevention rather than cure. She was drawn to the holistic nature of Chinese Medicine, which encompasses the mind, body and soul – “What I love most about this profession is the connection you make with people and how you can change their lives in a positive way and help them with their issues.”
Early in 2018, Alicia helped a client who presented with Bells Palsy and this inspired a special interest in treating all facial conditions. She has since trained in Aesthetic acupuncture for facial rejuvenation, acne, scarring, pigmentation and other conditions. She uses LED lights to enhance the treatment and gain faster results.
Sridevi wrote, ‘what you feel inside reflects on your face. So be happy and positive all the time’ – the reality is that no matter how hard we try, we cannot always stay positive and our emotions and life in general can massively affect how we feel and how we look. Aesthetic acupuncture is not just about treating the face but is a holistic approach to aging and stress with body points used to restore balance to the body as a whole.
Her other interests include Women’s health and IVF support as well as and the management of pain.
When not at work or reading a book to further her education, Alicia spends time with her family and friends and is currently attempting to learn how to play golf - she’s not entirely sure she’ll master it though!
Alicia (Lee) is available Monday, Thursday and Saturdays, with some evenings available by appointment only. Book Now.
