Yin Pin Gong

Our event combines three holistic modalities of Yin yoga, acupuncture and sound healing over two hours to assist you in enhancing your body’s own ability to heal.

Each event is based around the seasons to bring your body back into alignment with nature to have a body free from illness. Each session begins with a nourishing Yin yoga, sequenced around the element of the season. Led by yoga teacher Katie Dow to ground into the physical body as well as awaken the energetic channels. Acupuncturist Natalie Bailey will weave her vast knowledge of Traditional Chinese medicine philosophy throughout the practice to give a deeper understanding of the current seasons element and meridians. The yoga will be supported by gentle sound healing from Andrew.

Once we melt into an extended savasana deep rest, Andrew will bring in his magnificent Gongs for an out of this world experience through sound. The gong promotes an induced meditative state, enchantment, exhilaration & wonder at being encased in a sonic wave of otherworldly tones and overtones. While we rest, it’s time to get pinned by Natalie in specially selected acupuncture points related to the season to rejuvenate and restore the organs and meridians related to it. This combination brings about profound peace, space, healing & spiritual awakening.

ABOUT YIN YOGA

Yin is a cooler, stiller and inward form of yoga. Long passive holds with the support of props can assist in increasing the bodies range of motion without effort. Yin offers the opportunity to drop into a rest and digest state where the body can naturally repair. Yin yoga can be a meditative practice as it provides a chance to slow down to combat stress as well as space for self- inquiry.

ABOUT ACUPUNCTURE

Traditional Chinese medicine is a holistic primary health care system which has been practised for over 2500 years. Its roots stem from Daoist philosophies that suggest that everything in the universe is part of an unbroken whole, where life arises from the interplay of opposites (Yin and Yang), and we can have a life of health and prosperity by observing nature and its natural cycles. Our most basic human function is to find harmony between heaven and earth and Chinese medicine offers a medicine that is for the body, mind and spirit.

When our bodies are in harmony with our surroundings, we are healthy, and there is an abundant supply of qi (pronounced chee/chi), our life force or energy that runs through an unseen network of meridians across the body. If the flow of qi becomes depleted or blocked, the body fails to maintain harmony or balance and then disease and illness can follow.

Acupuncture is just one of the many branches of Chinese medicine that helps restore the balance of qi in our bodies, allowing it to carry out its own innate ability to heal and be protected from disease. By finding balance in our body, mind and spirit, we can be more present for our families and other aspects of our lives, to pursue our purpose in life and reach our full potential, finding true contentment and happiness that filters through our families and communities.

Highly Recommended: If you have never received acupuncture treatment, it is highly recommended that you do before attending this event. Natalie is available for sessions Tuesday to Saturday at her clinic rooms in Joondalup. Health fund rebates available. Book online: www.radiantchi.com.au

ABOUT SOUND HEALING

The Gong is an ancient instrument of healing and transformation, generating powerful multi-dimensional ripples of sound waves, bathing your body in streams of rhythmic, mesmerising and transformative sounds. Mentally and emotionally it helps to quieten the mind, physically releasing tension and blocks, stimulating the glandular, nervous and circulation systems as well as breaking up emotional blockages.

Unfortunately, we regret this event is not suitable for pregnant ladies or those under the age of eighteen.
